We stayed in a camping pod and it was great! Really comfy with futons and duvets. There were heaters in case we got chilly. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We used the camping kitchen which was well equipped. The only downside was that the showers were a little unreliable in temperature but they were ok. Loos and showers were roomy and clean. Would definitely stay again. It's a great spot in the New Forest.

Amazing location, right in the forest!Really friendly and helpful staff. Stayed in a bell tent with a wood burner and it was fantastic. Definitely recommend!

For a YHA + campground, very good. We camped. Nice place, well run. Quiet, peaceful. Can get a bit crowded.Note: Google incorrectly tells you that you can drive to the YHA from the west on Cott Lane, but there is no vehicular access from that direction - you have to go via the White Buck Inn.

This is a review of the camping facilities, rather than the youth hostel itself. The ground was comfortable, although I expect it could be problematic in wet weather. Check-in was quick and easy. Parking is not adjacent to the tent, but the car park is only a moment's walk away. The facilities are modern, well-equipped and clean, but the shower was let down by a serious lack of water pressure - the flow actually stopped twice whilst I was showering! The location is lovely, and I would definitely stay here again (but possibly shower elsewhere!)

The kids loved it, we felt it was clean and safe. The shared showers were clean, the shared kitchen was well stocked and clean. The staff in the whole were friendly and we'll stocked with...Hairdryer cost an extra 3 to rentTowels, 3 each to rentTea bags, 1 eachFeast ice creams, 1.2Which we saw as more than fair for the convenience...we realized we could and for our own from the shop but we didn't want to break the day up.The seating area to eat was bright and clean. The lounge, with a real log fire on a snowy day felt like a treat.
