Lovely staff well looked after, enjoyed the food , been before and will go again
Went for walk through New Forest, including part of old train line, then back to Burley Inn for lunch. Cosy log burner fires, great food and decent choice of beers
Our first time away and we chose the Burley Inn. The most perfect dicision we ever made. Wonderful staff and food. The room was very clean and fantastic veiw. The bed was so comfy. Bathroom was spotless and well equipped. And the price was just perfect as well. All in all a perfect weekend and I would highly recommend it. Many thanks to the wonderful staff.
Had a morning coffee before the long walk to the railway tea-room. Very nice pub decorated with Halloween items. Lovely looking pub with plenty of seats outside - luckily the weather was so good this time of year.
Lovely location and nice exterior. We had a King room which was very comfortable, great shower and bed. Had nice staff for breakfast in the mornings. Those were the positives. However, what we weren't expecting, was that upon checking in the lady was very rude. We brought our dog and apparently they only allow dogs in a small area in the front room. She made it abundantly clear our dog was not allowed anywhere else and then asked accusingly if we had made the reservation to include the dog fee (we had). A bad start. We decided not to eat here because of the rules and space, but did come back for a drink later. There are 5 tables in the front where dogs are allowed, we took one of those and the area filled up quickly with dog owners. Why they think it's a good idea to put dogs together in tight areas is beyond me. On top of that I met the owner's dog, he was allowed to go wherever he wanted. I would recommend if you don't have a pet, but if you do be aware they allow dogs, but I wouldn't call it dog-friendly.
